Latest Security Update Causing Bluetooth Issues

My phone did a security update about 2-3 week ago. It also processed another one this week: not sure if it was the same update or one actually different. The security update is referencing December 1, 2016, system version 24.232.16, and build number 24.49-18-16.

Ever since the first security update and thru now, I've been having issues with bluetooth not working. The phone will say the headset is connected, but it will continue to play audio from the phone. It occurs in all the apps. I have to reboot my phone. Bluetooth is always turned off after a restart; regardless of when I restart it.

Seems to be a bug, is anyone else experiencing this problem? I'm also on Verizon.

I had problems with my Moto X Pure and the September update, but it inexplicably fixed itself. My watch just would not stay connected, I reset it so many times and cleared cache on my phone so many times and it just settled down one day. I was wary of the December update but have had no issues.

None of that helps you but there is an issue. All I can suggest is clearing cache (full phone) and keep trying.

Edit:. Don't forget to pair and un-pair and pair and un-pair a million times too. Ugh

I also had the same problem. Phone suddenly wouldn't play audio through bluetooth devices. Going into settings the box for Phone Audio was unchecked but would not accept a change. I finally deleted the profile in my car and on my phone. I cleared cache and after several repetitions I finally got it to work again. It has been working now for a few days.
