Hi All,

I updated my Samsung Galaxy S6 to Version 6.0.1 a couple weeks ago, ever since a number of things have started to go wrong with my galaxy S6. Mainly....

Today I used 'Ultra Power-Saving Mode' for the first time. After setting the phone back to regular mode, all my contacts (except for the few stored to my sim card) have disappeared. I have cleared the cache, spent a long time on the phone with T-Mobile (who had no solutions), but can't seem figure out how to get them back. I do not have gmail to back them up from; I do have a google account under my outlook address. The odd thing is, even the facebook contacts I had synced with my contacts won't reappear - and I have tried to re-sync everything. Any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

Also - on a side note - ever since doing the update to 6.0.1 my phone has been using quadruple the amount of data and the battery life only lasts a couple hours, when it used to last all day. Any help would be fantastic - thanks in advance!

Well, my first suggestion is that you stop saving the contacts on the phone only.
start using Google contacts, and then when something goes amiss, they will always be there.

the stuff you had sync'd with the phone, won't work because the info disappeared when you did the upgrade.

another reason, to use Google Contacts instead of the phone only....

I got bit by that a couple years back, I had always used the phone contact list only, and let Verizon back it up...
well, somewhere along the way, the VZW backup stopped working and I did not know it...
I changed from a Galaxy S to a Galaxy S5 and "where did all my contacts go?"

VZW had some, from a point of about a year prior.... better than none I suppose, but I was lucky in that I exported my contacts on a regular basis to my PC as a spreadsheet file....

so, me and Google Contacts learned to work with each other while I rebuilt my contacts list.
