Help Bluetooth Auto Connect to Car System

Hi, I have a Motorola G3 phone, and about 1/3 of the time I get into my 2014 RAM truck or 2017 Grand Cherokee, both with UCONNECT 8.4NAV system, the phone will not automatically connect to the vehicle's system. I then need to go into the phone's settings, where I can see the list of saved bluetooth devices I have paired with, and touch on the UConnect choice. After doing that, it will connect fine and be OK for maybe a week or a few days, after which the next time I get into the vehicle it will have the same problem. I mentioned the RAM truck only because it did this when the RAM was the only Chrysler product I had. I do not have the RAM any longer since about 2 months ago, and now have only the Jeep, so its not like the phone might be "confused" as to which vehicle I'm in. Anybody else experience this with Chrysler systems or any other vehicles?
Thanks, Bob

I had that problem with my Ram (uConnect 5?, the smaller screen). It turns out it was the phone. I switch phones frequently, some (older Huawei's, LeEco, Moto X 2013 edition) had the problem. My newer phones don't seem to have a problem anymore (I'm using an Honor 8 now).
Thanks, now I have an excuse to buy a new phone. I got this one in Sept 2015. It works great otherwise though.
