My Foxfi hotpot cannot be turn on if I am also connected to a wifi. It seems to be working only with your data plan. I will be on a cruise ship without VZ signal.

That has nothing to do with the AF app. When you gave a hotspot active on your device, it's broadcasting a signal. Just like water in a pipe, it'll only go one way. When you disable the hotspot it'll go back to receiving WiFi. My advice on this would be to USB tether your other device (like a PC), so that you can use the device like a modem and receive WiFi data for whatever. PDA net+ has USB tether as well or you could use Easytether Pro.apk.. Which is what I do when needing to use my device as a modem

Thread title changes not sticking from AF apk (also).
Edit: Now I'm getting ticked off.. The app isn't doing what I need so I use the browser but when I hit a link in browser, it defaults to and opens the link with the friggin app!!
Settings > Apps > Forums > Clear defaults, or something to that extent. (Running the O preview and can't remember exactly how it was labeled in earlier versions).

I don't have the app set to any defaults. At all. Ever. Plus the Clear Defaults cmd is greyed out, FYI
Depending on the phone/OS, the exact option may be hidden or labeled differently.

On AOSP Android 7.x, you can look at Settings > Apps > [gear icon] > Opening links and look for any sites registered to the Forums app, or go to Settings > Apps > Forums > Open by defaults > Opening links.

AOSP Android 6.x has the options in the same place, but I think they're listed as App links instead.

EMUI 5 puts it at Settings > Apps > Settings > App links or Settings > Apps > Forums > Open by default > Open supported links in this app.

... and that's all the devices I have within my reach at the moment. Hopefully that can help you find the setting for controlling which apps handle which websites on your device. If not, you could take the more drastic approach of Settings > Apps > [three-dot menu] > Reset app preferences. This won't clear any app data, but will reset your chosen default apps - clearing the URL binding in the process.

I've had to do the same on my fleet of devices in order to continue to use the mobile website alongside the shiny new app. :thumbsupdroid:

I haven't used the app a lot because I don't find it to be very user friendly.

When I go to My Stuff (that's where I should look for posts in the threads I follow, right?) it's not obvious whether there are posts I haven't seen - see screenshot.

Even when I pick a thread I think has new posts, it always shows me post #1 instead of the latest post, & I don't find anywhere I can change that. Is this the way it's supposed to work? For example, the "how much have you made using Rewards" thread has a latest post of 3/20/17 & I see it listed with a 1/20/17 date, when I select that thread I see the 1/20 post, which (I think) is the first post in that thread.

Please read the original post and it will have all the answers you need.
The MyStuff tab I am redoing very soon. Lots of other good things to come as well!

I'm not trying to be a brat, but I don't see answers there. What am I missing? Is it that the "My Stuff" just isn't ready for prime time yet? If that's the case, I guess I don't understand what use the app is until then. "Timeline" seems to show everything under the sun, I don't want to sort through all of that to find what's useful to me. "Forums" seems to only be where you indicate what posts you may (possibly) be interesting in seeing.

If there's something I'm just not understanding, please explain. I mainly use the website when I'm at home - but when I'm at work & just want something quick to read through on my lunch break, I like to be able to read the posts that are important &/or interesting to me, & move on. Right now the app just doesn't seem able to be used that way. I've been spoiled by Tapatalk & how easily it let me see the latest posts, I'm not seeing any ease of use with the new app yet.

Oh, I just meant that it will show you what soon will come. Timeline will soon have filtering and I'm completely redoing the MyStuff tab. These two improvements to come will really help the app show more of the content you want to see.
