I used to have my HTC Desire 816 which have a built-in BoomSound and loved it when I can plug my aux cable into my CD/Radio and hear the bass this way.

Just got myself a Samsung Galaxy J7 (J700P) and in spite of putting in the aux cable, SoundAlive don't have that big boom sound

So, do I need to get an app to create that Boom Box sound effect so I can hear the bass? (I'm not familiar with rooting and can risk bricking it as I just got this phone 2 days ago)

Please advise.

I don't know what boom sound is. Though I think Poweramp will do what you want. Is the J7 a good phone? Did you like it?

"boomsound"? you mean you just want to turn up the bass with an EQ? Poweramp can do that, Rocket Player will do as well, no root required.

Yeah, that's basically what boomsound is, an equaliser preset, except not tied to a specific app.

But for music playback any player with an equaliser can be adjusted to your tastes.
