Me: Hi, I can't access any of my systems that use ID XXXX, it just keeps asking for the password and won't let me in.

Helplessdesk: OK, so which systems can't you get in to?

????

Me: I called Friday and was told it was a known issue and being looked at, is it still broken?

Helplessdesk: No. You're ID has been locked. What can't you access?

Me: Ummm, everything that uses that locked ID and why wasn't it unlocked on Friday when I called?

UGH, eeeeediots

Well, I am about to apply for a much-better-paying job, but it will involve deploying once again... if there is room for upward movement, though, and a chance to stay home more often than not, I am all for it.

I've given the boss plenty of chances to accommodate me, so now I am seriously looking elsewhere.

Hold the peppers please! I do enjoy an omelette and make a pretty good one if I don't say so myself.
It's my son's goto breakfast for the last couple weeks (he's 9, it will soon switch to Eggos or something else) and I can whip out a bacon (facon I call it, the precooked stuff) and cheese omelet in under 5 minutes. :D

So I'm watching "The Warriors" (1979) and Cyrus is giving his "Can You Dig It?" speech when it occurs to me that the platform he's speaking from is almost an exact duplicate of playground equipment I used to play on after school in the 7th grade. The only difference I could see was we had a telephone pole with a thick swinging rope sticking out of that second from the top platform.

Wow, apparently this has be known for a while, but I only found this out right now.

Yes, that totally sounds like a click-bait opening sentence, but in this case it's true: if I pre-soak my pasta, I can toss it into the sauce and cook it just before serving. reference

Which would have been nice to know before I went out and spent $1800 on a new stove because the old one sucks at boiling water...

Okay, so Dngrswife wanted an oven with accurate temp settings and top broiler, so we would have bought it anyway, but still... So many meals have been delayed while we've waited for the water to boil... (even starting the pasta water first, then making the sauce)
