Welcome to the new AndroidForums (Round 2)

Sorry if this has been discussed already but how do i login when using IE11 ? The conversations, notifications and profile dropdown icons are all missing?

I use IE 11. If you are referring to the icons at the upper right on the page ... zoom in and out (for me Ctrl/mouse wheel) slowly you will see that they eventually appear and then disappear.

The trick is to zoom to a size that displays them and stay there.

My GUESS is that you will find they appear when you increase the size you have been using for years by just a small amount.

We have this bug submitted, but less than 3% traffic is IE so it's a little lower on the list. It's the 'toggle width' button, bottom left of the website, that you can click to cause them to slide out of hiding.

You still need to zoom to be able to see those icons, in my case now to 115% which affects any more tabs which you open afterwards, a real pain in the ass.

I'm surprised that its only 3% as a lot of ppl would be forced by workplace policy to use IE as their browser. But whatever, low priority, fine ;)

If you zoom a little to make everything larger ... just before the right column disappears ... the toggle width button disappears.

Member DannyDet started a thread that has some interesting gripes in it, and I'm inclined to agree with a bit of it. In essence, it's more difficult to follow watched threads now, and the "Trending Topics" pane on the right is pretty much irrelevant to probably 90+% of members who come here for THEIR device or issues.

But I've been taught to never bring up a problem unless you also propose a solution - so here's mine:

Create a two-tab pane on the right... one tab can have Trending Topics and the other tab can have Watched Threads. The Trending Topics tab would, of course, remain constant for all members; the Watched Threads, on the other hand, would be unique to each member. That way, once they're logged in all their watched threads are one click away.

If Steve can figure out a way to write that into the website, that would be AWESOME.

Some serious lag with posting in the Samsung Galaxy S3 forums.

Edit: I am test posting in this thread, and obviously will delete the test posting but some real lag:
https://androidforums.com/threads/screen-wont-turn-off.672719/#post-7524247

I also cannot post a new thread---I get an error:
Capture.PNG

Edit: I should clarify that the issues are in the Samsung Galaxy S3 forum, using my laptop, Chrome Browser. I also have the issue using my device with the Chrome browser.
I also had another member contact me via hangouts with the same issue which led me to investigate this on my devices..

Edit again: @Phases, I am deleting my posts and @SolApathy 's test posts there as not to clutter the thread, so my link above may not work.

This thread ...
https://androidforums.com/threads/help-playing-vids-with-es-file-explorer.1134640/
... is listed and not listed in ...
https://androidforums.com/

It is marked with a purple eye as a favorite.

If I specify ... Most Recent ... Favorites ... it is not listed.
If I specify ... Most Recent ... All ... it is listed (with a purple eye)

Some other threads are correctly displayed in both places. This "feature" is present in Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari.

On web - creating a new post while in a device channel doesn't assign the post to that channel.

1. Be in device channel (example: OnePlus 3T)
2. Click Post New Thread
3. Type your post, click Create Thread
4. Not assigned to 3T, but to the general Android Devices.

Should be fixed now, thanks!

I'm seeing the same as @Hadron, started last night. I get full-on ads all over the place since I turned my adblocker off. I'm also not able to create a new thread, I can get as far as selecting a topic from the drop-down then get a blank page.

Yeah, I just tried to create a thread in Android Questions (seemed a good place to try a test thread) and also just got a blank page.

Can you try again?

Ads are gone and I was able to create this thread. Looks good so far. Thanks!

OH BUT WAIT! I can't create a thread if I try to select a phone. I chose "MOTO X PURE" and nothing happens when I click 'select', if I select 'skip' then I can open a thread but not in that forum/channel whatever??
