Hello guys,

I had my phone routed and also had the TWRP custom recovery installed.
Now I wanted to bring the phone back to factory standard. So I removed TWRP and installed the factory default image from January 2017.
However although the phone receives updates, I have enable the Beta participation program.
I am stuck at Jan.2017 security update. I am not receiving security updates anymore.

What have I done wrong?
Has anyone else experienced this?

The phone is not carrier specific or anything like that, I bought it as a stand alone device over a year ago.

Cheers
Vasilis.

I just checked and it must have updated silently to the 5th of March security patch
It must be a feature of 7.1.2, doing updates without notifying?
:)
Cool, glad you're up to date!

Note that the beta channel doesn't get the same monthly security updates as the release channel, so it went straight from January (beta 1) to March (beta 2).

There's also a developer option for "automatic updates", but I'm not 100% sure if/how that actually works. It's possible that it did silently install the update and reboot at some point, but I don't know that for a fact. I do know that the Nexus line doesn't support the seamless A-B update scheme which makes updates effectively transparent to the user on the Pixel phones.
