Battery has been disappointing so far

Two full days with the phone... two days where it's gone from 100% battery at 7am, to under 25% before 3pm. I would call the use normal; text messaging, a call or two, trolling social media. Was hoping it would be at least a marginal improvement from my S6... seems it might actually be worse. Very disappointing.

Also of note, the wireless charging is painfully slow. Phone is powered down; went on the charger with 11% left. 90min later it's only at 34%. o_O

Can't say I've had the same. Fast charging has been brilliantly fast and my battery is currently 40% despite being unplugged since 10am (its now 21:20) and that's with all the usual usage plus a lot of Facebook and on and off wifi at work.

Any tips/thoughts? Did you make any changes? That's the other kicker... I'm on wifi ALL the time. So should really not be draining like this. Usage indicates:
Android System 23%
Screen 16%
OS 6%
Device Idle - 3%

No idea, i've not set mine up any different from the S7 edge i was using. Not changed anything at all. I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination but if theres nothing draining in the background and your usage sounds about like mine i wonder if it could be a faulty handset.

I've talked about the battery life I've been getting on my S8 in a previous thread here: https://androidforums.com/threads/my-galaxy-s8-battery-life-upload-your-screenshots-here.1139989/

Consistently pulling in about 4-5 hours of screen-on-time (12 hours battery life). It's good, but nothing close to what I was pulling with the Moto G5 Plus. It has a similar sized 3,000mAh battery but apparently a more battery friendly Snapdragon 625.

I also live by a philosophy that you shouldn't handicap your smartphone by dumbing it down just to pull a few extra minutes of battery life. But yeah, doesn't look like the Galaxy S8 is going to pull any miracles.
