If you're not a fan of Samsung's default keyboard on the Galaxy S8+, it can be easily changed to something else. First, you'll need to download a keyboard from the Play Store, like Gboard.
- Go to Settings > General management
- Select Language and input
- Select Default keyboard
- Choose your keyboard
- Go to On-screen keyboard
- Select Manage keyboards
- Make sure yours is enabled
