What email appa are you using?

I used the Gmail app for about ten minutes - hated it. Never got on with Googles stars and labels and so on, I am a "file it in folders in Outlook" kinda guy. Tried the other standard Mail app and found it to be very basic - couldn't delete more than one email at a time, couldn't send attachments other than photos, etc. This was on Android 1.5, may be different now. But then found K-9 and it just works so much more like a proper desktop email client that I have stuck with it.

The email client in the Desire's a bit flakey IMHO....

I've just a mail while on my PC and a few mins later it came through on my phone.

Whilst I could read it okay on the PC..the same email was showing up as totally blank on the phone (and before you wonder - no, there wasn't the option to download the rest of the email...) - it was just a blank email showing the sender and that's it.(pressing Menu and all other arrows etc didn't help either..)

On another account I've got set up on the phone, it doesn't show attachments that I KNOW are on the mail (coz I've opened them up on the PC later/earlier on in the day....

Must be a better alternative methinks :(

I use Gmail and Touchdown for my Exchange mails. Tried to use K9 but gave up getting it to work. Touchdown doesn't have the nicest UI, but it is the first time I've ever been truly satisfied with the handling of my Exchange emails (particularly subfolders), and I come from E Series Nokia devices. Recommended.

I used K9 forever but the swipe to next/last email feature is too sensitive on my G1. If you're trying to view an html message with scrolling bars you have to slowly touch the screen or it loads another message. I emailed the developer to see if there was a way to disable it but I never heard back. I've gone back to the basic client for now. I'll see how K9 performs on the EVO in a few weeks here. It does seem like there should be more clients on the market, though.
