LG Aristo

got a little to aggressive in deleting bloatware via root enabled T-Mobile Aristo, and now i'm a bit screwed with Play Store continuously crashing. No worries i said, i'll restore using the kdz file posted here.

The only issue is, when i try to restore, i get the message kdz is for MS210 and you have M210. question is, is the posted kdz link specific to MetroPCS only? does someone have a link to t-mobile KDZ? please help. thanks much

Google LG M210SV, this is how I found kdz for tmo aristo.

thanks! found the right kdz based on suggested search string, and all is well now. i was able to load a TMO specific kdz. if anyone else runs into this in the future, it's important to note that the T-Mobile and MetroPCS kdz are different and LGUP utility won't allow for loading one on the other. thanks again.

im new to this forum but i have been following this thread fro weeks now since i purchased my lg aristo. I am familiar with rooting but not as advanced as you guys seem to be. This phone seems unrootable at least at the moment, tried all the popular and unpopular motheds, none worked. I sometimes see that people offer donations to other people who manage to root or assist with rooting devices on here but i always see people offering puny donations. I would offer a minimum of $50-150 to anyone who can root this device successfully and post full directions, a video or add lg aristo support to the one click root app so others can use the same method to root their lg aristos. Let me know if anyone is interested. i need to attain root on this phone so i can make full backups with titanium backup and also restore all my angry birds scores. There are certain mod tools i want to use to add more gems and pearls to my angry birds 2 game, but u must have root to use such mods. i would easily pay anyone instantly with paypal if root is achieved. Im not sure why this phone isnt already supported with one click root, towel root and the others. What makes it so difficult/different???? i think bc it has nougat its too new and needs more time for smart users like you guys to crack it for rooting the device. Otherwise it should only be a little bit more time to get root on it.
The reason there aren't any one click root methods is because the phone is fairly new and not that popular, however with that being said there are ways to root it, Messi has a dedicated thread for rooting that has been linked multiple times throughout this thread. You just have to follow the instructions thoroughly. If you want a root then you have to put in effort for it and not rely on one click roots. It is obtainable and Messi makes it fairly easy as long as you follow the guide thoroughly. I did and have obtained root along with others on this phone.

I can't get it to flash recovery at all in fastboot, after I try everytime it just says factory data reset :( looks like it's done for

Try flashing the stock rom using this method: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/uppercut-lgup-loader-g5-variants-t3511295 . And you can get the Aristo KZD from here: https://lg-firmwares.com/download-file/ .

If you're still getting that "unsuccessful" error screen, try this:

So, I earlier this morning I was finally able to fix my Aristo. I had to use LGUP tool to flash the stock firmware on my phone. I made another mistake when reinstalling TWRP by not formatting the data in the "Wipe" area if TWRP. That put me back into the "Encryption Unsuccessful" error screen. However, this time even reflashing the stock firmware didn't fix that error screen. What did was reflash the TWRP image file, format both the userdata and cache with fastboot commands. With that, I'm back in TWRP and I followed your steps to the letter this time and now have a fully functional, rooted and TWRP'ed LG Aristo.:D

In a weird way, I'm kind of glad this happened. I feel like I've learned quite a bit about fastboot, fixing errors like this and increased my google-fu skills.:D

True, the haptic power button in the back looks like a fingerprint scanner, it is not. But its a cool refreshing look at lg, volume rockers on the side and pwr button in the back! I hope to god we get root and twrp! The device scores a 34193 in antutu! Beats the galaxy s4 and is on par with the s5's at my store (I work for cricket) ;) loving this device, still havent charged the battery lol

That's a really good Antutu score, mine doesn't seem that fast, at least not on the last 3 TMO updates. On Antutu v6.2.7, mine typically scores 29k, though I just managed an all-time best of 33868. My Galaxy S4 is consistently quite a bit faster in the 39k range, just now 39255. I'd say it's very similar performance to the first-gen Moto X, since I have a Droid Mini based on the X which scores 31k consistently. It's overall pretty snappy, and the pixel density at 5" is good enough I honestly can't see the difference between a 720p and 1080p screen. My biggest complaint is there doesn't seem to be Screen Mirroring (Miracast) available. I've looked all over and even installed 3rd party apps, none seem to give that ability. I thought Android from Kitkat up had the ability built-in. Maybe there is a way to hack in Miracast ability, as I've read people were able to enable it on the Nexus 6. Colors are also very dull and washed out looking. I don't think I've ever had a phone where the colors were this unsaturated.
