Google Assistant for Tablet - When?

I know that Google Assistant has been rolling out to Marshmallow and Nougat devices for a few weeks. I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 running Android 6.0.1, and it got Assistant about a week ago. I also have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablet running the same Android version, but it has not yet received Assistant. Does anyone know how Google is deciding on how and when to distribute Assistant? I'd like to have it on both of my devices.

Have you tried holding the Home button until it activates just to make sure ?

Lol... Your right about the ram, but I know my tablet, no it is not rooted.. Running MM 5.0.2 And Google's assistant works just fine...I went ahead and set it up again, see pics for details....just for kicks. I also use the ok Google voice prompt to unlock my phone <img src='http://androidforums.com/styles/smilies/google/wink.png'>

Nice! Not sure how you got it when it Google claims no tablets and GA has to run on Marshmallow or above ??
