Issue with yahoo mail app

Hi,
I have been using the yahoo mail app on my tablet (galaxy tab2 10.1) for years. A couple of days ago it stopped refreshing my mails. I have tried uninstalling and resinstalling but it sill gets stuck on the inistializing mailbox. I haev the same app on my phone and tab3 7" and it works fine. Could someone point me in the right direction of what to check please as this is now starting to really annoy me.
