I just upgraded to the Moto G 5 Plus. My old Moto G 4 second gen had a Gallery app that showed my photos. they were stored locally on my SD card. The new phone doesn't seem to have the Gallery app. Did it disappear with Nougat? Is there a way to find it and get it going in Nougat? I don't want all my photos online in the Photos app. I want to access them locally via my SD card, too.

You can download it from the Play Store. Google Photos should be installed and I have been using that for quite some time and like it.

I should add that you aren't forced to put your photos online using Google Photos. It is an option. It will display all your local content. I have mine set to back up manually. If I don't select a photo to back up, it doesn't.
