I had a string of conversations with a contact of mine, including some telling me that they had ran into my Truck sitting in it's parking spot when I wasn't home. I had quite a few different conversations with this person, as they are a regular contact. I went to text them the other day and they were missing from my texts contacts completely. Later that day he texted me from the same phone number and was again available in my contacts, but all of the conversations were gone. All of my other contacts are fine, no change. These texts are now important for legal reasons, can anyone help me with the recovery of these? It would be greatly appreciated.

Any answers out there?

I don't have a clue if my post will help but it is something to think about.

A few years ago I had a friend that went through something similar. She had texts & photos disappear from her phone. Nothing else was touched. A few weeks later there was a car she had seen outside her house just parked there not doing anything suspicious so she didn't think anything of it.

She picked up her phone & noticed it was deleting things on its own without her touching any keys.

Come to find out, the person sitting in the car in front of her house got into her internet router & was able to get into her phone that way & was able to delete & remove whatever they wanted. The person was an associate of hers & knew her routers password.

I don't know how old your internet modem or wi-fi router is but chances are that the person did this to remove any credible content you had to avoid prosecution. The new modems & routers come with passwords & extra security. But as long as someone has your log in information to use your internet that's all they need.

I could be completely wrong but this is what happened to a friend of mine.

P.S. I know this may be a day late & a dollar short but I started using an app called SMS Backup & Restore by Carbonit. There are many apps like it out there but I like this one the best. I've tried it & it works as it should.
