I'd love to collaborate/advise on the development of an app with which the user creates soundscapes for meditative ear training. I don't code, but I've got 25+ years of experience as a musician. I've been looking over music apps for a while, and so far have found almost nothing of this sort.
The general idea is that the user would assign behavior to one or more voices, which would produce a (randomized) stream of notes according to parameters chosen by the user. So for each voice, the user assigns:
1) Instrument sound (and volume)
2) Which pitches are to be selected from
3) The tempo, duration and rhythmic arrangement of pitches
MIDI would be the obvious choice for this. It seems like a simple version would be pretty easy for someone with the right coding skills. Many styles of UI and more advanced variations (such as chord progressions) are possible to imagine.
I would definitely purchase an app like this, though I can't personally fund its development. It seems like it would have a niche. Let me know if you're interested!
