I Dont do the upgrading phones bit i buy the top ish of the range and get/expect long ish life and i dont have loads of apps just expect basic functions to work and work well why not its a **** off expensive bit of kit . But quite frankly after 3/4 mnths the 7 edge is just poor. Screen is still over sensitive, Walk down the road short cut widgets just disapear, settings change at random, type and get 2 capital letters, type and half the time theres an annoying delay. Blue tooth in car will pair phone but not media. Blue tooth soft ware has problems with ALL devices seems to pic its own time when it'll pair and work. For a topish thats had ?? years to 'sort issues out' samsung quite frankly seem to have done next to nish i' m now running out of patience and approaching the stage where I will swallow a loss and buy something else and NEVER buy anything from them again. oh and the battery life is decreasing rapidly Moan over perhaps i'll go to sleep and wake up and my top of the range world applauded phone will be reborn into something that feels like a bit of kit thats fit for purpose.

He may well be on edge, or on a ledge.. Just thought it was worth pointing out m

Also sounds like he isn't using a case and it's waking up in his pocket.

Nova launcher would allow him to lock the screens, a case would stop it waking up and getting scratched... Or he could just go and buy an iPhone or something else if he wants to

It's a fair point, you've got to admit that if the phone was as bad as all that, people would generally be complaining about these issues a lot, given the price tag.
But let's try and focus on your specific points. Like the Bluetooth problems - do you have problems pairing it with other devices, or could your problems be caused by the car? After all there are two sides to a Bluetooth connection.
Are the problems you describe with typing happening frequently? Can you reproduce the problems consistently? This doesn't sound like a correctly working phone to me. Have you contacted the seller to raise these issues? Can you get a refund or exchange the phone for a new one?

My wife has had the S7 Edge for close to a year now and is plenty happy with it. None of the issues you describe. While I realize that's not particularly helpful, it does lend credence to the notion that it's something with your phone specifically and not all Samsung S7's.

From what you describe, the random Bluetooth disconnects, the spotty performance, the touchy screen and keyboard, worsening battery life ... it really sounds to me like there is a rogue app wreaking havoc with your phone. Something is hogging both power and processor cycles and eating power like a fox in the hen house.

It's also entirely likely that you did indeed get a bum phone. Samsung makes millions of Phones and the S7/S7 Edge is currently the most widely used Samsung device (in the U.S. anyway) so even if only 0.1% were bad, that would mean thousands of bad phones in circulation. While that sounds bad, any Q.C. department would tell you that 0.1% is impossible. Even 1% failure is considered a massive win for a manufacturer. Apple's most reliable iPhones -- the 3 and 4 -- had a 2% ~3% hardware failure rate, so it happens to the best of them.

If I were in your shoes, I'd backup all my data, perform a factory reset and then reinstall a minimal set of apps and see if the problems persist. If so, I'd look for a warranty replacement as the S7 Edge can be a very good and reliable device.

I love the curved screen, just don't turn on the edge screen feature. Uses battery faster. Some features I just won't use because of drain faster. I mostly listen to music and use Poweramp for music. I never had any issues like the OP. Again this happened quite a while back in 2017.

I did get my first s7 edge that my brother gave to me the second half of October 2017, but he used it before giving it to me. He used car charger and I did not think he had best habits of charging the phone. Plus, he used his car stereo with aux in cable, and I think that cable broke the headphone jack or loosened it up so much that when plugging in the headphone or earphones in, that it messed up.

The battery was draining 25% in 2 hours of listening to music, and after charging to 100% it drained 10% in standby in a half an hour. Too fast for my liking. My brother thought I was asking for a new phone for him to buy me, but I was just trying to get a warranty replacement. I love the phone.

I got tired of charging the phone in 15 hours, when hardly using it. So I went after two weeks to T-mobile, and they said it had a defect. I explained I got from my brother, and he put me on his account. They said they would do a warranty replacement through the store. I had to get brothers approval because it was his account.

So I asked nicely for him to call my brother and ask for approval. He gave it and staff was nice to do it even if they were not supposed to. I was worried my brother if I talked to him, that he would think I just wanted him to by me another phone. He thought the gift that he gave me, that I was not appreciative in him giving it to me.

I told him multiple times I thanked him and loved it. Well, all I had to pay was a $5 fee and they called me up in two days to pick up replacement, and take the bad one to them. No extra charges. I think once you do that kind of replacement, you only get one time replacement, and no more warranties after. So I have to enjoy what I have as long as possible.

Hope this phone last me a long while.

Bought an Edge really cheap in November and really like it but the Bluetooth does not connect to play media in my car. Have researched forums and have found plenty reports for the same issue. Nothing works to resolve this. Have also tried an S6, A5 and S8, all the same , no media playback in my 2013 Seat. Every other phone connects no problem. Tried Huawei, iPhones, Motorola and Sony.
Very annoying trait and may force me to sell or trade.
