That's Facebook messenger. If there aren't application settings in Facebook, then you may have to go to
Settings>sounds and notifications>application notifications
scroll down to messages make sure ‘hide sensitive content’ is turned to off.
Thanks, I already knew how to do that. I have no way of figuring that out bottom icon. If its what I think it is... then the wife and I are going to talk. Its her phone and she wont give up the passcode. I do indeed think she is hiding sonething. This is why I jave to be sure what icon it is.
The "hide sensitive content" message is just the generic message you get when you don't want the content included in the notification. It's easy enough to turn on and less easy to change once you've made that the default. And, it's a global setting, so it applied to all messenger notifications. You can't pick and choose.
The could have made it a more accurate description like "I don't need to see what you had for lunch" or "so many cat memes, so little bandwidth" but they chose to make it sound like everybody's hiding something.
Thanks for replying Lunitic59. Fact is.. she has been caught more than once and on more than 2 occasions.
So since I have no way of telling exacrly what tgat particular icon means, I guess I will just grin and bear it.. . Thanks once again.
