Does anyone have any ideas how? I already unlocked the bootloader and got TWRP but when I flash SuperSU it gives me a ramdisk failure
I tried SuperSU in system and systemless, magisk 11.6 12 and 13, pph's superuser, kingroot, kingoroot, and kingroot PC
The phone just came out on the 30th so not many people have it

Did you flash the no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1 zip that is mentioned in this post?

Then try to install SuperSU from the Playstore?
Doesn't work, SuperSU just says I'm not rooted
Also, if you can mount the system RW from TWRP, then it is basically rooted. Be careful though. Make a good back-up first. Who is the Carrier anyway?
True I'm basically rooted but it's dependent on me having a computer (which I don't) since I can't get TWRP flashed, it only works if I do "fastboot boot TWRP.img" so I need to drive a friend crazy to let me use his computer everytime, and I don't actually need root for anything now, but I will in the future for things like titanium backup and game guardian

First, I unlocked the bootloader through motorola's tool. Second, as there is no official TWRP for the e4, I used the Moto G5's TWRP img to BOOT from. (Flashing will not work, boot from it using fastboot) https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5/development/unofficial-twrp-3-1-0-0-moto-g5-t3574450

After in TWRP, I made a backup of stock everything. You'll need it if something goes wrong during the entire process.

After making sure that I was backed up, I then flashed Magisk 13.1. After that successfully flashed, I then flashed this file: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995297893 . After rebooting (This may take a while), everything looked much the same, and it may look the same for you as well.

In my own case, the Magisk ZIP that I flashed did not install the Magisk Manager. Install that via the APK available in the Magisk 13.1 thread. After I did all that, I had successful root.

I have my bootloader unlocked...but I cant figure out how to get TWRP for the life of me ....... I understand that I need to the nessasary files..but exactly where do I download them...to the phone store card or to my computer...Also I know I'm supposed to to copy the recovery img to the same folder or directory as fastboot.....but I'm not really sure what that means ..then right click and press shift to open the command prompt window here but I don't see that option......please help I've been literally stuck for a little over a month....is there a way for me to do it without a computer?....(I have Windows XP).
