*ZTE Zmax pro 2* - believe the hype

Facts or opinion?

Reminds me, that's the lesson subject for Monday. :thumbsupdroid:

As for any hype for this particular Chinese phone, I've not seen any.

The truth doesn't need validation by you. I a customer you are a fan boy big difference. Iphones do more with less. That's not an opinion. Stability and consistency of ios far superior

Actually running a benchmark the ZTE ZMAX pro out performs the iPhone 5s or comes very close to it also apple and Android are two completely different OS's and therefore use different processing power making apple do better at some things a also making Android do better at other things.
Lmao u claim to know about phones and is using benchmark. U lost credibility. Lmao

I wouldn't use an iPhone if you gave it to me for free. I prefer my ZMAX PRO :) The larger screen is soooo much better. I've owned "flagship" phones in the past. I've owned an iPhone. Never again. ZTE, LG and Huawei have done a great job of bringing out QUALITY phones at amazingly affordable prices.
"The larger screen is soooo much better" that's your opinion not a fact. That's subjective. Screen size has nothing to do with performance and stability of os

Do you want facts or opinions? I bought this phone in October due to the low price and need for a device after busting my old Nexus 5 during an archaeological survey in the Southern Utah desert. Fact - It is a huge phone with decent specs. After updating software the strange glitch disappeared. It also looks and feels decent if you have large caveman hands like myself. It'll do what it advertises, make calls, take pictures, drunk text your buddies. I've yet to gain root or flash a new ROM but it serves my purpose. I can watch netflix in my tent. Opinion - It's Chinese, I don't trust em. Fact - I'm a US military vet, I may have been brainwashed.

Gaming on this device is horrible. Glitchy even just scrolling through the Ui. At times this don't have 5g wifi. Noticeable difference in wifi browsing speed. My amazon fire phone performs faster better wifi browsing and that's from 2014. Down try to down play the differences. It's night and days. Your waterproofing argument because that just became a selling point You get a significantly better experience with those devices. There is a reason that zte is a budget phone. As a budget phone great but if you get a flagship it's worth the money.

Best budget phone is the ZTE Axon7

Zmax blade z thats coming to metropcs on 8/28/17.
Has a 435 processor clocked at 1.4 ghz. (Sounds like the lg stylo 3 plus) Also has a dual camera and Nougat 7.1.1.

Zmax pro 617 processor clocked at 1.5hgz.
Who is zte /metropcs trying to attract.? Upgrade not really..

It also has a larger capacity battery, better camera (higher resolution and dual lens) 16x/2x dual plus 8x front. It has quick charge 2.0 which is faster than our 1.0 quick charge on the PRO. Plus newest Android.

I would be happy with a just simple fixes like the dpi and a stable build of Android it seem like with every update this phone got worst and worst

ZTE really did mess up the update process with the PRO. The first update screwed up the auto dictionary. The next update repaired that but created new issues, etc. Every update just screwed things up. I didn't even bother updating to b20 because they messed up the text alerts.

If you buy a new ZTE BLADE Z MAX, I would always recommend waiting to install updates until others report on it.

ZTE really needs to improve quality control on their update process.

Well the differences of the SD 435 and 617 in detail is that all 8 cores are clocked at a max of 1.4Ghz because there is no big.LITTLE architecture inside unlike the 617 which does have it. So the 617 has only 4 big cores clocked at a max of 1.5Ghz and 4 LITTLE cores clocked at a max of 1.2Ghz.

Now the in the GPU department the 617's Adreno 405 is 100Mhz faster than the SD 435's A505. Both have the same amount of ALUs at 48. I know this because I use this neat little tool app from the play store that has a detailed SoC comparator built right in! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ijsoft.socl

I for one won't be getting the new about to be released Blade Z max bcuz my Metro ZMP is still in excellent shape and I am still on the B14 firmware patiently awaiting for a working method to root this monstrosity. I was on the original B08 but I updated for the hell of it when I got this phone in late February and I didn't know better back then. The only way I would upgrade to its prodocessor is if it craps out on me on its own or I break it somehow that would make it unusable. The only real problem with my Z981 is that I have the dreaded multi-touch issue but only in CPU/GPU intensive games and N64 emulation.

This phone is most definitely not shitty at all. If we get root and everything that comes with it, this 100$ phone will be a beast. I mean I've played around with an S7 and an iPhone 7 and I don't get why people pay so much for them.

It's the cool thing...I have said this many times myself...It's just to impress...No logic behind functions etc..As long as it makes cool rabbit ear pictures...
