I have a question. If my Android device gets stolen but its screen is protected and locked by 4-digit passcode

I think it's not hard for the theft to test it out from 0000 to 9999 , right?

He keeps the phone within the environment without WiFi and cellular network. Could he break through my phone and get access to the data inside?

OK. My phone is now still here but it keeps a lot of important and confidential information that includes text and pictures. All of them are backup regularly. I am not worried about they get lost because I awlays have copies, but I am worried that my phone gets stolen and unauthorized someone could copy my data

What I can do to enhance the security of my mobile phone so that once the device gets lost or stolen then I can make sure that nothing inside can be accessed ??

That's 10,000 combinations - most humans would get bored long before they finished typing those in (assuming you can only set a 4 digit PIN on your phone and they know that - it's a lot longer otherwise). The biggest risk there is that fingerprints on the screen narrow their options down. You could always use a password rather than a PIN, which allows more combinations.

Some phones will erase their data after a preset number of failed attempts. Not all, and I don't know about your device.

You can of course activate Android Device Manager, allowing you to remotely wipe the device if it is connected to the internet. Some third-party security apps allow you to do this via SMS, so as long as it's connected to a telephone network you can wipe it (even if no internet connection is available).

If someone is able to put it in airplane mode there is nothing you can do. But they need to get past your lockscreen first. Most thieves are after the hardware rather than the data, so are more likely to try to reset it (and hence wipe your data anyway).
