Help car bluetooth!

i know this has been discussed in some thread but i just cant find it and i don't know if this has been solved.

so here's the problem: i don't know if this is related to galaxo or not, but when i connect the phone to my cars bluetooth i keep getting these random android.phone crashes. sometimes the bluetooth just doesn't work or i can't call anyone until i reboot the phone. this is annoying me because instead of driving i need to mess with the phone which drives me nuts..

any ideas?

I find the following...

If bluetooth is on at phone boot, it does not connect with my headset. If I've turned it on since boot then its OK. (Stock UK O2, IK4 (Android 1.5) Firmware with a plantronics headset).

Basically I turn bluetooth off when I get home, phone is off overnight, so I'm forced to manually turn it on in the morning before I get into the car. Seems to work for me. With this workaround its works well. I dont get the crashes you've reported.

i get them randomly for some reason...maybe its the bluetooth device in my car that makes all the trouble?

why don't you try 1.6 firmware? there isnt a single reason to stay on 1.5 anymore as insomnia bug is fixed

I've recently purchased a 60 EUR bluetooth module for my car, specifically
so that I could stream music from the Galaxy instead of from the CDs.

This better work. I'm going to install the module any day now... I'll
let you all know how it went.

cool thanks. i think this has already been discussed or asked in a different thread but i don't know if they found any fix for this...btw on 1.5 i didn't have this issue. only started after i flashed 1.6.

I have the same problem with the Parrot system in my car.
The first time in a day it works properly. After the first time it disconnects continuously.
When I reboot the Phone, it works again.
This problem is present in all 1.6 firmwares, including Galaxo.

Bluetooth in my car was monumentally bobbins until I asked 'em to see if there was a firmware update available for it when I had the car in for a service. They flashed it and it fixed the BT problems along with a few other quirks the computer was having, so I guess what I'm saying is, don't rule out the car side of the things just because it's a car.

You are right. The car side may be a problem. But when go back to IK5 (Android 1.5) everything works fine.
So I think at least 50% of the problem must be in the phone.

Hmm I'm on galaxo 1.6.3.3 and can't even pair my car bluetooth with the phone. Get an error about the PIN being incorrect but the phone never lets me enter a PIN code, any ideas?
