Accessories Has anyone else here ordered their case?

I hate my case. It's so freaking flimsy!

I got this back in August:

But the phone fits so loosely in the case that the sides aren't tight at all and I'm worried about the thing falling out. I really wish Samsung would hurry up and ship my Alcantara case so I can send this stupid thing back before the return window closes on me!

I ended up ordering a ultra then skin like case, less than 1mm thick. This phone is so big already, I didn't want the extra bulk in my pockets. I don't really drop phones (knock on wood) so I was mostly looking to protect against scratches.

I picked this case up. Very nice and sturdy. Fits like a glove. You can pick it up from best buy. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. You might be able to find something cheaper, but with a 1k phone I wouldn't take a chance. Speck - Presidio CLEAR Case for Samsung Galaxy Note8

Ordered the Spigen Rugged Armor case.

Have used this line of case on my last three devices and love it! This case, offers real drop protection and is very slim and easy to remove as needed.

UPDATE:

I sent that photo to the Amazon seller and was offered a different case, at no cost, without returning this one. That was very nice of them - but they couldn't assure me that the case was compatible with wireless charging. So I politely declined and told them I would find another way. They immediately refunded my money for the case, no return required. Customer service like that is rare these days!

EDIT:

STILL no movement from Samsung on the Alcantara cases! I'm starting to wonder if they were vaporware and, now that everyone's ordered them, they have to make the things!

:p

I used the 30% discount offer that came with the phone to order an Alcantara case (I hope it's not vaporware, Chief). In the meantime I'm using a Spigen Neo Hybrid case. I don't yet have a screen protector. I wasted a lot of money on screen protectors for the S8 until I finally bit the bullet and bought the $45 Whitestone Dome Glass protector. Installation was fairly simple using the provided jigs and UV LED lamp. Unless I read great reviews about a less expensive glass protector, I'll probably buy the Whitestone for my N8.

I ordered a Spigen Neo-Hybrid when I pre-ordered my phone to ensure I was ready when the phone arrived.
After I ordered the phone I saw the $5 Caseology deal, so I picked up a Skyfall series case from them.
I started with the Spigen for a day. Its nice. Fits perfectly. Doesnt add bulk. Feels protective. But even with the textured look, the entire thing is so darn slippery!
Caseology came in the day after the phone. I switched to it as soon as it arrived and it is by far my preferred case of the two. The color around the edges has a slightly tacky rubbery feel. I no longer feel like the phone is going to slip right out of my hand.
Clear case shows the sleek phone, with just a hint of color around the edges. This thing is a beauty. And it was only $5. Incredible.

Interesting. I have the Spigen Neo Hybrid and the Caseology Parallax, so we don't have the same Caseology case. For me, the Spigen case has a better grip, but my main problem with the Caseology case is that my headphone jack won't fit through the opening. On the other hand, the Spigen case has a larger cutout and it accommodates my headphone jack. I am using the Spigen case until my Samsung Alcantara case arrives, and I hope the Alcantara case will accommodate my headphone jack.

I wanted to say "Thanks" for the suggestion. I've needed something while I wait for my Samsung. Your case just arrived today and I think it will do just fine. Thanks again.
