Looking for app that records GPS location history that can be accessed remotely, even if phone dead

Hi,
I put a droid phone into model rockets that I launch. That way, if the rocket lands far from the launch site, I can track and find it with Google Find My Device or other GPS tracking apps. Works great most of the time, only problem is that sometimes the phone shuts off on ground impact if the landing jars it too hard. Then I can't use the usual tracking apps, which only work if the phone is on. Is there any app that tracks and stores GPS location history that can be seen on another device, thus allowing me to see the last location prior to impact? Google Timeline gives location history but it is not based on GPS, so the history is not that accurate.
Thanks for any help,
Bill

To be clear, you really want an app that gives real-time location tracking data as telemetry, uploaded online somewhere via wireless as the phone flies on the rocket, and it's logged and recorded on the server right up to the moment of impact. That's basically what NASA, Russians, Chinese, etc. have been doing all these years to find out and remotely record where their rockets go.
