Considering Note 8, Coming From Google Ecosystem, Have a Few Q's

Hi Everyone,

I currently have the Huawei Nexus 6P and have been using the Google ecosystem (mainly Google Assistant, Google Drive and Google Keep) and have a few questions.

- I use Google Keep on my 6P and also my MacBook to take notes and they sync without problems. Can Samsung Note also work on my Mac and also offer the same synchronizing experience?

- Pretty much, I want to stay within the Google ecosystem as much as possible and the stock Android experience.... I don't want to switch to Samsung's ecosystem (or even their cloud) ... Is there a way to do so with Note 8?

- Bixby has its own screen when you swipe to the left. Is there a way to disable this and replace it with Google Assistant?

- Is there a way to completely disable Bixby if needed?

- Is there a way to get rid of the Touchwiz experience and replace it with stock Nougat theme?

1 just use google keep (if it aint broke...)

5. yes (there is a way to remove touchwiz --i did- i use nova prime. should be an N theme out there)

i come from the nexus 6 (with a pit stop with an asus zenfone 3 deluxe special edition) and also put my device to as vanilla stock as i can.

Thanks for your response. Is the s pen fully compatible with Google keep? Would I be able to use all the features of the s pen in Google keep? And is there a way to set Google keep as default app when using off screen memo or even when I unplug a pen?

Keep works with the stylus, while there is no way to change the default screen off memo, you can add Keep to you Air Commands menu which opens when you remove the stylus.

Thank you, screen off memo is an app by itself or is it an extension of the Samsung Notes app?

screen off memo is a baked in sammy feature

it means when you pull the stylus out, you can start writing on the screen whilst the phone is off.

lots of videos on the net to get you acclimated to the note8. this is my first ever sammy and i got up to speed right quick via some videos from sakitech (i think that's his channel)
