Can't delete widgets or shortcuts from home screen

When you long press on a blank area of one your home screens does the add to home screen pop up? (the same screen as hitting the plus from the home screen)
Ok, this is a strange case. It seems that the long press works at the top portion of the screen but not at rr bottom. I can add/remove widgets from the top portion off the screen, but not from the bottom.

That's really weird you could try just starting from a clean slate by hitting menu --> scenes --> clean slate, and seeing if you can get the screens the way you want like that, but you really should't have to do that. Sounds like your phone might just be defective and you need to take it back to the shack

Clean slate didn't work. I'll have to take it back.

I had this same problem with a search widget. If you clear all the programs/other widgets from that Home screen, you can long-press anywhere on it and it will still select the only remaining object.

My problem was that the search widget was at the top, but the long-press only wanted to let me add programs/widgets. So I just long-pressed on the bottom portion and it auto-selected the stuck widget, allowing me to drag-to-remove it.

It's a lot better solution that going the clean slate route. Especially for me on the Incredible, where I have custom scenes with 7 home screens. That would be a hassle to reset.

Hope this info helps.
