Root ZTE Zmax Pro Official Root Discussion

I see that GarnetSunset and SapphireEx have given up the chase for root weeks ago. Now we only have a few newbies working on the project at the moment. So I guess they have both thrown in the towel and ZTE USA remains the undisputed champion in the unrootable circuit. If only they were more like Apollo Creed in Rocky IV, sigh... :maddroid:

ZTE = China Company = Own by China's Gov.
On top of that after all the cheating ZTE has been caught doing in NK & Iran they made a deal with the US Feds. So no idea what type of access the NSA or whoever requested from ZTE on that deal. But yeah, very secure phone.

Ya i gave up once ppl started crap. I moved to s8 but then returned it for the lg g6 because of the camera. Zte will go down as one of the worst company to make phones..ever!

Hi, guy you mentioned, my phone kinda 'sploded so I'm SOL in terms of workin on it. This happened weeks ago so I'm just proxy working now.

Ya i got the tmobile lg g6 but one thing i can do that the zte zmax cant do.....fastboot even though some commands are wiped out. on top of that i have a snapdragon 821 with dual cameras and 4k which is alot better than the zte zmax pros snapdragon 617 with a messed up touchscreen, ehh camera, and it was slower than f**k. I was all for trying to help with root but sapphireEX wanted to run his mouth talking crap which is unprofessional in my opinion which kinda ended it for me. There was barely any talk on discord discussion regarding root anyway. Guys im sorry to say this but its not worth the hassle messing with the zmax pro

I'm not publically announcing anything until the script is ready for end users. Right now you will bootloop, but at least dm-verity has been disabled, and patched recovery has been flashed. I'll upload the script once it is ready. As it stands right now, everyone that runs it can have a full brick if not done perfectly.

So to answer your question, yes WE WERE RIGHT ABOUT BLUEBORNE VULNERABILITY. So far Sapphire has already dumped that RAM cache using it, we just need to bf some addresses to get further.

Also i never said it didnt work, just said didnt work as planned.

Blueborne is currently being patched so its best to try to hurry before other phones get patched as saphire could help many other phones.

They are not unfortunately, just thinking that as they are able to push the v20 recowvery they have made a progress is wrong as they are not able to have permissive selinux after reboot due to the locked bootloader is restoring stock (unmodified) boot.img on reboot so it's useless..
