Jesus. I thought they stopped doing this years ago.
UPDATE: Realized what I was doing wrong. I was changing the hoe screen preference correctly, but it remained stuck going back to the MetroPCS homepage, until I tapped the "home" icon at the top left screen, at which point it went to the google homepage, and THEN cleared search history.
