No gigabit LTE for Verizon Note 8?

Verizon is pushing out an update that will let the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus take advantage of its powerful Gigabit LTE network, making the devices a whole lot faster. In a security update being rolled out soon, one of the added features is support for the faster speeds. From Technobuffalo article dated 12/8/2017

No mention of the Note 8 getting the update. What's the deal? Thank you.

I read somewhere that it would indeed be included. But only if you got a Verizon version. That's why I decided not to get an unlocked version.

I just read where the S8 and S8+ have Update 8 available on Verizon, which makes it Gigabit LTE ready. Of course, my technologically-declined Darling Bride still had Update 7 waiting to be installed

Anyway, I got her all updated... but it's my understanding that the Note 8 is ready for Gigabit LTE out of the box. Just waiting for Verizon to flip the switch.
