Help Text Messages ACTUAL Time Sent

Hi, wow thanks very much. Just happened to be looking through my old posts and saw this. Interesting that it's still an ongoing issue with the newer phones. I'll check out that app for my Incredible, and I'll probably end up using it on the Nexus Prime when it comes out as well. Most likely going to be upgrading to that if it ends up going to Verizon. Unless of course they fixed this little issue with Ice Cream Sandwich. We shall see. :)

This is still a problem, as my new Droid Bionic has this issue.

My old Droid Incredible had this problem until I rooted it with Incredibly Re-Engineered, and then it displayed the time the the message was actually sent, and not the time that it was received at the handset.

Before that my LG Dare always worked in the "correct" fashion and displayed the message time sent.

Same exact problem I've had for two years now and pisses me off. Every phone I had thru my LG Dare handled this fine, yet my Droid 1, current Droid 2, and returned Bionic all only date the message at the time my phone powers on, making a number of my messages received useless. I've worked in secure buildings which disallow cell phones for most of the past 7 yrs, requiring me to power off the phone for about 8 hours daily while stored in a locker. I turn my android phones on and every message is dated at that time. This happens with stock messenger and handcent. I'm also eying the Galaxy Nexus and am wondering if the stock Ice Cream Sandwich will fix this without a third party app.

"Sms sent time fix" is not for android6. You can install "Android Messages" (Google LLC) from Google Play Store and replace default Messages aplication. Hold finger on message to select a message(change color to blue) and press i icon to view message details. I see Sent times are a little wrong(1-2min) and is a carrriers problem probably.

I'm sure the person who had the issue in 2011 will now be able to sleep, now that you have signed up today and answered a long dead question.
