Missing video player

Craziest thing with my new S8+, I have no video player. Only after moving old videos over from old phone I find them under downloads and can watch them. I hit my open apps button and it shows its the video player but it's nowhere to be found. Where's the rascal hiding? It's not in gallery either.

I'd just install a third-party media player app from the Play Store. Apps like MX Player or VLC are much more capable, and either one is able to handle a significantly larger number of varying codecs than the stock video player app anyway.

The gallery does show videos on phone listed in the "Pictures" tab, the videos have the triangle like play button on them. I agree with you that there is no specific Video player app icon by default on the phone. It gets a little tedious to search through the Pictures in gallery to find my videos.
