How to update F7 from 4.1.2(Jellybean) to 4.4(Kit-Kat)?

I have an LG-AS780 aka Optimus F7. It came with jellybean on it(4.1.2) and I desperately want to get a newer OS on it. I am thinking at least KitKat(4.4). I am lost. I cannot find a custom ROM for this particular device. I see Simplicity 2.0 and CyangenMod, but would like a simple 4.4 install. If no 4.4 how about some links to the most current OS? I know this phone is older, but it is for work only.

So, it turns out I cannot find one. Been everywhere. So I am stuck with the stock rom. No problem. However, I just ordered my new AT&T sim card for a prepaid plan(cheapish option). I install the sim and I thought I should already have the cell service icon(the bars) come active and detect at least that I am not in range instead I have a red X and no matter where I am it stays red. I thought it would detect cell service even if I have not installed the prepaid plan pin. Have to have cell service to be able to register, right? I am thinking that the antenna is broken or something.
