Hello

I've searched the forum & also google it but found no solution. Here's my problem:

I previously had a Nokia 7210 supernova and all my contacts are stored in phone memory. Now, I switched to a HTC Hero and I don't get it how to sync the contacts.

Here's what I tried:

1) i cannot copy the contacts to the SIM because for many persons I have more than 1 numer saved + on SIM long names are trimmed.

2) I tried syncing with Outlook, but when PC Suite did the sync with Outlook, almost all the numbers were added to the "Other" field and when the sync with HTC was made more than 75% of my contacts are without a phone number - they only have the name.

any ideas/tips?

Thanks

Create an account with a free SyncML provider like Mobical https://www.mobical.net/mobical/MobicalApplication.html#start
Sync you contacts (and Calendar) with Mobical
EITHER
Get the trial version of the Synthesis AG - SyncML Clientfrom http://www.synthesis.ch/dl_client.php?bp=CPDA&pv=ANDROID&vtag=&lang=e&lay=desk
Sync contacts to your Hero
OR
On the Mobical site, enable Goggle sync and sync to your GMail account
Let the Hero sync Gogle contacts as normal
Hope this helps

I think I will try this solution :)

let's see if it works

Thanks guys!

Oh, sorry dude lol. Another way is to download a program called bitpim. It may or may not support your phone. You can extract your contacts with bitpim and export them to a contacts file. (.csv I think, don't quote me)

Then you can upload that file to gmail, and gmail will sync your contacts automatically once you sign in

Tapatalk. Samsung Moment. Yep.
