Getting app icons back

I upgraded my phone recently to Galaxy S8 and a majority of my app icons disappeared. When I go to re- download an app within Google Play, the screen has buttons for 'uninstall' and 'open'. There is no button for 'install' on apps I've d/l'd previously. Of course, I do get 'install' for apps I've never had before.

So, Play thinks my phone has the app on it. But, the icon for the app appears nowhere on my phone.

How do I get icons for apps I know I have to appear on my phone again? Thanks.

If you're trying to install the same apps on your new S8 that you had on your previous phone, open up the Play Store app, tap on the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner, tap on 'My apps & games', and there should be three tabs -- Updates, Installed, and Library. Tap on 'Library' and a listing of all the apps you've installed should be showing. Granted this is all dependent on if you're using the same Google account on your S8 as you were previously.

If that doesn't work then go ahead and uninstall them and reinstall them back..my experience with phone has told me..nothing is perfect and when it isn't one thing it's another..but always something has to not working well..it's like when women complaint there's not such thing as the perfect husband..the one that isn't a drunk, it's the abuser or maybe the lazy ass that doesn't like to work or if not is the cheater, or the one who prefers to screw her little teenage boy, or the one who isn't into taking care of her female needs..well, you get the picture..same shit happens with phones..but there's always something that isn't working fine..go figure.
