Hi. I need to recover my Onda V801 Dual Core Tablet (version V5), so I need a valid link to download firmware v1.5.5 or v2.0 or v2.11. I browsed the internet but couldn't find any working link neither from Onda nor from any cloud depository. Your help will be much appreciated

Only firmware I can find that's possibly for the V801 tablet is this on Baidu Pan(Chinese).

Unfortunately Onda are absolutely lousy at providing support and firmware for their products. Usually if you brick an Onda, you'll be buying a new tablet.
Hi. Thanks for your reply. I already tried to download the firmware from Baidu skydrive but unfortunately it requires registration and is only available for Chinese users. I tried to register and failed because you must provide a valid cellphone number in China mainland

In China the law is you must register for any online sites with a real name and ID, and all mobile phone numbers are validated and associated with real names, addresses and ID card numbers. Onda's own website(Chinese only) is really just for mainland China. http://onda.cn/

You are right! I just hope to find someone in this forum who has downloaded the firmware when it was available at Onda website back in 2012-2014 and uploaded it at some free file hosting service like Mediafire, etc

I could download the file from Baidu, as I have a verified account and I'm in China, and then possibly upload it to Mediafire or something over the weekend when I have time. But I don't know for sure if this is actually the correct firmware that your Onda tablet needs.

Is your tablet actually bricked at the moment or are you just looking to update it?

Hi. Many thanks for your help. My tablet is bricked at the moment. The file available at Baidu that could help me unbrick it is «V801D-V1--V6 20130425D.rar»

Hi. Many thanks for your support. Unfortunately, during the upgrading procedure using the USB burning tool, the process stopped at 73% and then gave a fail error. Before this attempt my tablet could turn on and then freeze at the Onda logo. Now, it's completely dead and it won't turn on. I think I should have used an SD card for upgrading and not the burning tool. If you have any idea on how to revive my tablet, it will be very welcomed). I will attempt to upgrade using the burning tool in my old laptop with Win XP(first attempt I used my laptop with Win 7). If not successful, I will have to throw away my tablet 😥

I used mega.nz as I already have an account with that service.
And this is the Onda firmware file...

Hi my friend! Good News! In windows XP the USB burning tool worked like a charm. I was able to upgrade and fully recover my tablet. I couldn't have done without your valuable support in providing me with the right firmware. Many thanks once again!

Is your Windows 7 64-bit and XP 32-bit? It could have been a driver compatibility problem with 64-bit Windows.

Happy to hear it's all good now...enjoy! :thumbsupdroid:
