VZW red/black gradient case issues?

Got a red gradient case for my Inc (still waiting on the phone). I was just wondering if anyone had any problems with getting at the sides of the touch screen with the case on?

Also does anyone have any other issues with the case worth mentioning?

The only concern I had initially was that it was a "snap-on" case, and in the past, I have had problems with the "snaps" breaking off if I had to take the case off for any reason. I've had to remove this case a few times now with no problems. And to answer your question directly...no issues with getting to the sides of the touch screen. SCARLETnGREY is right...works great, looks great!

mine works fine and the snaps on it are def. high quality and don't feel like they will break off.. I can also get at the edges of the screen with no problem. only thing thing that kinda "irks" me is that i think the black is actually just spraypaint over a red case, because in the few places where i have dropped the phone and the case is scratched, it shows red through now.. other than that, love the case, love the phone..

Isn't that case split lengthwise? Like along the sides? Seems to me that a case that splits that way would rely more on the clips to hold it on, vs using the phone itself to help hold the case on, i.e. silicone case or case where the seam is, say, across the back. Meaning... because of this, wouldn't it stand to reason that it could/would pop off on a drop much easier than the other options?

I haven't used one... just the impression I get from that type of case...

I have issues with the top part of the case not fitting flush with the bottom part. There's also the issue of dust getting stuck around the edges of the case and being more difficult to clean out.

That said, I'm happy with the case as-is. It's not slippery but isn't difficult to take out of my pocket either. I've dropped the phone once on a tile floor (clipped it against the edge of a table) from about a 2' height, the phone landed on a corner but was OK. The edges of the case extend past the screen and camera, so it's safe to lay it on either side w/o worrying about the glass getting scratched/damaged.

Well, if you think about it, if it snaps apart on a fall, it's actually doing its job of dispersing the energy of the fall through the case and not the phone itself.

I have this case, and it's definitely NOT pink - not by any stretch of the imagination.

I agree. I've had a few places where the black is starting to come off. A bit annoying but definitely not a deal breaker

Yeah, when I first took it out of the packageing I thought it looked a little pink, but thats just the light shining through, once you get the phone in there it is a dark red.

And yes, I agree that if the case snaps appart in a fall its doing its job, I would much rather buy another 25 dollar case than a 200 dollar phone.

Right, I get that. I guess my thinking is that on gravel, for instance, or any rough surface... say it falls on the corner and the case pops off (true it dispersed the impact), but then it leaves the phone naked to still get damage from the following impacts- a tumble or bounce basically. I'd think the silicone or a more solidly attached case would still disperse the impact and not leave it naked afterwards-- I wouldn't want my motorcycle helmet to pop off as soon as my head hit the pavement the first time.

Not knocking your case, just thinking out loud... or visually, as it were.

That's actually a very good point. I guess I already have the gradient case so I'll start with that. Are there any silicone cases for the Incredible out there yet?

I have the solid red case, and it feels very protected. However it makes the phone "bulkier." Yes I'm being picky, but I specifically got this phone because it's so slim and sleek. I take the case off when I'm just listening to music around the house now. And from taking the case on and off now the sides don't come together perfectly anymore, there is a bit of "give" which makes it squeek when I pick up the phone quickly. (From grabbing it harder than normal)

I dropped mine. The case broke off. It did protect the phone but the top left and bottom right corners got dinged after the fall. I wound up getting the body glove case cause I am clumsy and don't trust the case now. With a case on you wouldn't know it got dropped but it looks crappy in the gps mount. It was my fault but I wouldn't trust it too much. If you don't have full insurance I would suggest something different personally from experience
