Hello,

Already for 6 months we are successfully working on the new way of monetization and Ad-less UX of websites with the help of mining in the browser. At the request of our partners, we have developed SDK for mining in Android mobile applications.

The kit allows easily to embed the miner in the application. The code of the miner is specially optimized for the android devices CPU for more effective mining

And why do you require people to register before they can use this library?

Yes, we provide the SDK, not the source code. And we make it because we do not want our development was copied - some know-how, which we do not yet want to publish.

We require registration because to work with the SDK you need to generate a unique miner_id and get the API token. Without registration SDK is absolutely useless

So how do I know that your library isn't siphoning off some of the mined Bitcoin to you? Do you take a percentage of the mined Bitcoin as payment?
Without access to the source code, I have no idea what this library is doing.

And in any case, the amount of Bitcoin mined on a single device will be absolutely miniscule.
However I can see that you will potentially earn a lot of money by taking a percentage of all the mined Bitcoin, if your user base is substantial. Users of this library should be aware if that is your mode of monetization.

Firstly, we are not talking about Bitcoins. Our library allows you to mine Monero, Sumokoin, Electroneum and NiceHash.

Yes, we take percentage. We offer developers from 70% and above.

Registration is also needed for this - you will see the dashboard with real-time statistics, including financial data. In general, it is the value of our SDK. You install it into your application, and it in turn starts to communicate with your account, where you can see how much one or another application has earned. We did not write anywhere that we mine Bitcoin. We talk about coins on the CryptoNight algorithm. But in general, you are right, 1 (!) Device will mine very little. But if your application has a good DAU, then we can speak about thousands of dollars profit per a month.

On the desktop we work with more than 10,000 partners and there were no problems and some mistrust. We are quite public and attend major conferences on Internet marketing. Thanks for your information. I only ask the questions to make people fully informed, as the word "Free" in your thread title is slightly misleading. I want users to be completely aware of the cost implications of using your software, and who benefits financially.
It's completely up to individuals as to whether they install and use this library, but they must be able to make that decision, knowing all the facts, particularly from a financial perspective.

You mention it's possible to earn thousands of dollars per month. Can you provide data to back up that claim? What hardware specification would be required to generate that much profit for an individual user, in one month?

I assume that's an estimate of income for a developer who includes this in a widely-installed app, and that the user of the app gets nothing (apart from no ads, some increase in power usage and some additional network traffic).

The thing I'd be curious about, as a user, would be whether this would only run when the app containing it was in the foreground? Because in that case it will bring in very little indeed, but it running in the background would be much more problematic for me as a user. And this is far from the first such API we've seen, so if this were to take off the prospect of many such processes running on some poor user's phone (because they've installed a number of "free and ad free" apps) would be very unappealing. So that's why I'm curious about when it would be allowed to run.

(Personally I prefer to pay for apps and have no ads, and wouldn't install an app that included this. But I'm not the target market here, and the information that I would shun any app monetised by mining is probably more useful to a developer considering using such an API than to the developer of said API ).

Without problems, let's change the name of the thread as you consider right and we are ready to answer all your questions further.

These statements are based on two types of data:
Extrapolated data based on tests on mobile devices
Existing data of our partners with web applications.

For example, a website (web application, video hosting) with 17M unique users and average session duration 4 minutes, with a small CPU load, earns about $ 11,000 per a month. You can argue that desktops' processors are more powerful than on mobile devices, but it does not matter in the context of mining. We are going to write detailed post in our blog. An average user's processor on desktop mines with Mineral is as much as the average processor on the mobile device. That's why we allow ourselves to make such statements on the example of desktop online mining in the browser and on the basis of extrapolation of data with tests on mobile devices.

Thanks for the feedback! But at some moment the amount of requests from developers to create this SDK + API became so great that we decided to create it. In our opinion, it is a perspective direction for the whole mobile industry, but which requires exceptionally reasonable and balanced use. At one time, nobody liked recurring payments and they were also considered as an absolute evil, but look at the amount of SaaS-business now that uses a bank card subscription as the main way to earn money on their services.

The SDK has a limit on the maximum CPU load (75% maximum). Whether to start the process in the background mode, in what state of the battery the miner should stop its work - these decisions should be made by the developer himself. At the moment (!), it is our position. If we understand that developers do not act reasonably or will receive abuses, then we will take measures, of course. We prefer to trust people.

Android In-App VS Website Mining

The Mineralt team run tests and came to an interesting conclusion that the same mobile device CPU shows a larger hashrate, if it uses Mineralt Android SDK. In other words, monetization of mobile applications on Android with the mining is more profitable than monetization of sites and their mobile audience.
