Slew of issues happening with my phone

So I recently purchased a Google pixel off of eBay it was previously on a Verizon network. I have been having a whole slew of issues with this phone and I'm wondering if this has to do with the lack of sim card or if the physical phone is damaged. The issues first began about 3 days after the purchase of the phone. I wasn't able to hear any sound from the device. I managed to temporarily fix it with a factory reset but the issue kept reappearing. It was also fixed by putting the phone into safe mode and then rebooting it. Another issue is apps crashing I used to be able to play games such as clash Royale or plants vs zombies 2 etc. But now clash Royale crashes mid round and pvz2 won't even open. Any help would be appreciated and I would prefer not to replace the phone if at all possible. Please contact me with any further questions at 21dmichel@gmail.com or pm me thanks for the help.
