Thanks for your work on this. I've got the Amazon no ads version - XT1775. Build number NPRS26.58-45-6. Can I still use the above procedure with the 26.58-45-3 stock rom? I've got TWRP and Magisk installed, the phone indicates root and I am running some apps that require it, but I must have done something wrong because all modules fail when I try to load them with Magisk. Can I just retry with steps 1-6 from above?

I'm not sure how that will work out. It may go ok, and you may get force closes from the oem and modem being from a newer version. This is what I've found to be the case with my xt1776 anyway. If I had the files, I'd make a stock rom with that version, but I don't see that firmware anywhere. Otherwise I'd need someone to provide me with a working untouched system/boot backup.

I made a full backup before root, but after regular apps were installed.

That'll work, I don't need a backup of /data so that's not a problem. If you could zip up the system and boot backups and upload it somewhere that I can easily download it like Drive or Mega, I'll make a flashable zip for you ASAP.
Edit: make sure you only give me the both system.ext4.win000 and system.ext4.win001, and not the system image backup if you made one of those also.

Dude.. Ya probably just needed the f2fs loopback bug workaround, Magisk has a flashable module for that too. ;)

I just downloaded the new OTA for Boost(NCR26.58-44-6). As soon as I have a chance, I'll update and make a new Boost/Sprint rom. Maybe I'll mod the OTA zip to work with twrp again and make updating easier for everyone else. If anyone with the retail XT1775 is already running the latest update (NPRS26.58-45-6) and could provide me with an untouched system and boot TWRP backup, the updated oem.img, modem.img and fsg.mbn pulled from the device and a copy of the latest OTA package I'll do the same for that model also.

Quick question. I am currently running the older Lineage ROM. While I run into the dreaded bootloader issue if I were to flash this?
You really only have to make sure you don't downgrade your bootloader, and make sure your oem partition, modem and system are from the same firmware version and touch shouldn't have any problems. If you haven't ildayed to the firmware version the rom was made from, yoully need to at least update your oem and modem first. I have the files I believe I've been meaning to upload if you should need them. I'm going to do an updated rom hopefully tomorrow if you want to hold off till then.
