To determine which eye is dominate. Hold your hands out at arms length and make a triangle. Focus on something in the distance within that triangle with both eyes open. Next close one eye at a time. The eye that keeps the object within the triangle is your dominate eye.
I'm right handed but left eye dominate. (cross-dominate) I still shoot right handed. I shoot pistols using both eyes and it's a chore to get my left eye on a rifle scope but I manage.
