MightyText Chrome Extension (no more pop-ups)

I use an Android app called MightyText which synchronizes my app notifications and also my phone's text messages to my Chrome browser (which is an extension for it). I have been using it for over a year now, and totally rely upon it to see my phone's notifications while I'm on the computer, and also send and receive text messages directly from my computer browser.

I've never had a problem with it, but last night, for some odd reason, my Windows 10 mysteriously turned on my Chrome notifications in for Windows, so all of the pop-ups that were coming in for MightyText for phone notifications were now coming through Window's notifications message center instead. Well, I turned it off through Windows settings, but since then, my MightyText pop-up notifications stopped, and only the audible notification sound works, which is useless by itself because you need to be able to see which phone notifications are coming in, and then it gives you the option to dismiss it on your phone by clicking the pop-up. I've tried everything to get the pop-ups to work again, but it still will not.

It's like the Windows notifications corrupted the extension when it took over my Chrome notifications temporarily until I disabled it. I even uninstalled the extension too, then installed it again. When you do that, it still does keep some of your settings, so it's not like it's clearing the extensions data when you uninstall it. I figured that if I could set the extension back to factory defaults it might clear whatever it is from Windows that's causing the problem, but I can not figure out how to clear the settings data in the extension.

I did send a message to MightyText support, but it takes them 24 to 48 hours to get back to you and I really want to get this resolved much sooner. Any suggestions on a possible fix is appreciated.

I think I remember reading that chrome was now going to use the standard windows alerts, instead of its own... Which would explain the issue..

Hello, thanks for that info. Do you know where you read this? And also, I have another version of Chrome called SRWare Iron, which has all of my same Chrome extensions installed, and the MightyText extension still works fine on there (I receive the pop-ups like normal). It's basically an older/lighter version of Chrome but not put out by Google. Thanks for the input.

Thanks, I see it now. But it make no sense that I am unable to disable that through Windows and just continue using the Chrome notifications like before. Why are we being forced to use Windows notifications through Chrome. Also, it's not like my notifications for MightyText aren't working at all because I still get the same Chrome extension audible notification sound, it's just the pop-up that doesn't work, which is the most important part of the notification for that extension, of course, since we have to see what the notification is actually for.
