Clean Master and Security Master

Both Clean Master and Security Master offer real-time virus
protection. I want to install both these apps on my mobile. But, I am
concerned that the simultaneous running of 2 antivirus engines may
lead to conflicts or problems of any other kind. It is a well-known
fact that PC users are advised not to install 2 antivirus programs on
their machines.

I need your advice. Can both Clean Master and Security Master run
simultaneously without causing any problems to the mobile system?.
Also, will the 2 antivirus engines interfere with each other's
functioning?

I would be obliged if you could send the reply as soon as possible. I
am dying to install and start using such wonderful apps on my mobile.

I've never heard of Security Master, but would never install anything from Cheetah Mobile on my phone. They are essentially a data-mining company, selling their users' information to advertisers (i.e. spammers). That's where their revenue comes from. A security app has access to everything on your device, so while I don't allow anything from CM on my devices a security app from them is the last thing I'd install.

To be honest, unless you are going around downloading from dodgy websites you are unlikely to need either. There are no viruses for Android (a "virus" is a self-propagating malware), just trojans (malware that hides inside an app you innocently install), so if you are sensible in what you install and where from the risk is extremely low. But if you feel the need for such reassurance I'd stick to companies with an established reputation (MalwareBytes, Avast or one of those) rather than some outfit like that.

Thank you so much for the information. Much appreciated.

Better to use 1 antivirus application only. It is true that if we use 2 applications simultaneously it can be a conflict, my suggestion is to use a clean master that has been proven and has a lot of members. Thanks
A lot of members have found that CleanMaster should NOT be used on a device.

I found it extremely misleading in what it claimed to do, and found that performance and stability imcreased after i stopped using it.
