How exactly is Greenify different from task killers?

I really don't understand the idea behind "hibernation" because what Greenify does on my device is just forcing stop the apps that are running in the background. Which I guess is actually what all the task killers do. What is hibernation exactly and how is it different from task killers?

Is it like this because I'm not rooted? If so, when not rooted, I might as well just use every other task killer for the job? What's the difference exactly? (Aside from Greenify is able to monitor the apps so that it doesn't stop the apps that need to run in the background like Spotify.)

No you dont wanna use task killers they are snakeoil. While dreenify does work deeper with root it can be used unrooted. greenify keeps apks asleep while task managers and 'junk cleaners,' render youre OS sick and you have to keep stopping/freezing apks 3-5 mins after you froze them. NOT WITH GREENIFY its a true battery saver and not a front that promises savings and dont deliver like DU battery saver etc. ALL junk. Greenify is the best PERIOD. task managers and those alike are snakoil (FAKE) android takes care of itself. Just reboot youre device once a day and you will be waaaay ahead of these crap apks with high ratings that make youre phone worse. There is a good thread in here (AF) titled The Myth About Battery Savers And Task Managers. I recommend all read up on this! Good day my fellow Android Fanatics!

Youre device is not rooted correct? either way ya greenify isnt one of every superusers go to APKs for nodda. Check er out. If you have any questions, by all means do tell broham 😉

duh u said u werent rooted above lmao! ok my bad. Ya Greenify bro. Holler at me if need be. But read up on it and play around a bit and test the waters if you will. Without root Greenify will/can disable/freeze youre user apks. With pro version one can freeze/disable system apks. However one cannot doze/freeze/disable a system apk without root. just a lil FYI

No, the device on which I want to install Greenify is not rooted.

There are also different 'modes,' ie aggressive doze or light doze or a combo of both really. Its real good at holding apks down when needed/wanted! Ive used Greenify for years along with 100's of Super/non-super users. Pro version has even more depth of features and also has a companion apk called island where one can sandbox and run cloned apks! Tellin ya GREENIFY IS THAT APK SON! Combined with the ever popular Amplified battery/wakeblock/lock or other wake/alarm/block apk (which does req root) and BLAAAAM good as batt-saving gets bruh!
