Odd Network Messages when changing access points

I have a router and an extender in my house. I've noticed when I transition from one to the other I get messages on my phone that it is disconnecting from my son's PC, my PC, my Router, and list of other devices on the network.

Why should it even be connected to these devices?

Does anyone else see these messages?

LG G4 Android 6.0, sec. patch 2017-04-01 (last patch).

From you've described, it sounds like you have a have two different SSIDs set up, one for your router and one your extender. Yes?
Try reconfiguring your extender to use the exact same SSID and password, but make sure both are using different channels.
If you do have different SSIDs, it's probably a matter where your phone, when connected to one but as you move out of its effective coverage range into the other, is just trying as long as possible to 'hang on' to the current WiFi network. When both access points are using the same SSID/password than the transition should be more seamless, the only thing being the channel change (which is relative to your home network, not your phone).

Well, you can try to just turn off notifications for those apps/services that are popping up with those messages. It's still not clear if you have two or just one home WiFi network in place but the other option is still to just set up both access points to be using the same SSID/password, eliminating that changeover problem.
