They are a constant mess magnet, I'll give you that. They are easily cleaned, on the plus side. Mine has your beat for getting hot. Ten minutes seems a bit long.

I love cooking with gas! I put something quite similar in my cabin. However, it was a very cheap model. I do like the whole top grate that mine has as well. Makes for easy cooking and moving stuff from one burner to another. And I like the ability to slide a pot nearly off of a burner to just keep the contents warm. Easy to clean as well.
