Glass top as well, and boy does it get dirty. And to get to 450, at *least* 10 minutes, probably a bit more.
I'll have a hard time ever going to electric range after having gas. FWIW, here's a photo of my range to make it less confusing.

I could never cook on electric again. The new stovetop is a 5 burner setup with a cast-iron even surface grate.

I love cooking with gas! I put something quite similar in my cabin. However, it was a very cheap model. I do like the whole top grate that mine has as well. Makes for easy cooking and moving stuff from one burner to another. And I like the ability to slide a pot nearly off of a burner to just keep the contents warm. Easy to clean as well.
