That bt retails for 15 to 30. Plantronics makes some really nice headsets...that isn't one of them.

You can get that shipped for less than $20

When I asked if they would match RS I was hoping for a horizontal case for work.
Oh well If it turns out to be true, my BB said it wasn't, I'll pass it on or put it on CL.

I called the mobile department at the Best Buy in Culver City, CA, and they didn't know anything about a free bluetooth headset.

Bummer.

We will be giving away the Plantronics 930 headset. BB will NOT match RS's $20 accessory credit. This was posted in our employee news this morning. Also, today was the last day to preorder.

The headset is nationwide, if they don't know about it, tell them to read their employee news.

I called BB in Roseville CA and they didn't know anything as well. I'm #7 on the list and they still haven't scheduled my appt. It's all good though. I just want the phone. The BlueTooth would have been icing though.

Not good news for me. I spoke to my BB last week and showed them a printed copy of the RS pre-order deal. They told me to bring the ad and they would honor the $20 accessory credit. I guess they won't do that now. I will still take the printed ad with me just in case they would be flexible...

I wonder if they'll just let you trade it in to use towards accessories or something else. I've already got a jawbone, so the Plantronics won't really do much for me.
Anybody work at Best Buy that can confirm if they'll be willing to do that?

Actually it's worth around $20 which would match RS's offer. I would've loved to get the $20 gift certificate than the BT headset which I wouldn't be using anyways.

I wonder how much I can sell this headset in eBay? :rolleyes:

Same here- I called BB a week ago to find out if they would match the RS preorder accessory credit, and I was told Yes. I am going to press them for it when I go into the store. I have bluetooth in my car and don't need a bt headset. I would rather put the credit towards a dock or HDMI cable.

I will say confirm that the bluetooth headset is true, I work for best buy and was reading employee news today, btw I also read employees are not supposed to be able to buy the phone for like the first 5 days or so, because they want customers to have it, good thing the people at my north store don't really know who I am, so I will be getting it on the 4th

I can confirm that it said you may not use the it towards any other accessories. It said that plain as day in the letter. They are going to have some deal going on with some rocketfish thing, I don't remember what that said because I wasn't interested in that part. I just want the phone and the free headset, ha ha, no I need to sell my Hero quick, but does anyone know if you can change your current phone on sprint.com, well I know you can, but do they charge a fee, cause my sister has an instinct that she upgraded from to the hero, and I want to sell my hero, and use her instinct until June 4th

In other words, it is not a credit, it is a free headset, but its better then nothing, really, if you get it at RS you will end up paying so much margin on there accessories that would would would be in the same boat if you got them online, so your better off to get it at BEST Buy and then buying accessories online. Only downfall to Best Buy is I believe they are done taking preorders if you want to pick it up on June 4th. In the employee news they have a whole game plan and everything for getting the Evo out. They said in the news letter that they got way more pre-orders then expected and this is gonna be a HUGE HUGE HUGE release, probably Sprints largest!

Just got a call from BB to schedule my appt. They open @ 10AM, so naturally I took the 10AM appt. I asked about the free bluetooth and the associate had no idea what I was speaking of. Oh, well. If they do give it out, it will be a pleasant surprise.
