Is it possible to install Android on a java mobile

Is it possible to create my own smartphone and use the cp100 just as a shell?
The Alcatel cp100 is a 10 year old feature phone, it's not powerful enough to run Android.

It might be possible to use the shell for a new phone, but you'd have to design and build custom parts. Would cost tons of money.

...so realistically, it's not going to happen, sorry.

In addition, you'd have to write custom low level software components, such as device drivers for your custom hardware.
Basically construct your own version of Android to run on this device, from the ground up.

That's even if the hardware was powerful enough to run Android, which as already stated, it isn't.

Welcome to Android Forums!

Theoretically, since Android is a linux based OS, it should be able to run on any device with compatible architecture. If you want to list the exact device model, maybe one of our developers can answer your question.
Hypothetically, since Android is a linux based OS, it ought to have the capacity to keep running on any gadget with perfect engineering. In the event that you need to list the correct gadget show, possibly one of our designers can answer your inquiry.

You really want to take an old phone worth maybe $25 and put in countless development hours and thousands of dollars in R&D to end up with a phone that *might* work like a low end device 10 years ago? Honestly i think your time and resources would be better spent taking classes in programming or electrical engineering.

Ok.. you're going to need the following....

1) Alcatel carfone cp100
2) hosting system
3) integrating tech

Use the integrating tech to join 1 and 2 together.. making sure the screen on 2 is installed the right way round.. unfortunately this may mean that the fingerprint sensor won't work due to the cp100 being in the way.

All other questions about this, can be answered by re-reading the posts in this thread. (which i believe you haven't read yet) but you can skip post 35
