This has several parts (Phone is question is Galaxy A7):-

I have a lot of notes in Samsung Notes that I want to transfer (batch transfer) to Googke Keep. I can then only use my Google account on my phone and have syncing on all Andriod devices.

1) When I try to sync to Samsung drive, as a temp measure before batch transfering to Google Keep, Samsung asks for permission to access my contacts; won't complete without that permission. Surely it does not NEED that permission just to sync?

2) How do I batch transfer my Samsung Notes to Google Keep?

Any advice appreciated.

Samsung Drive is a separate service that backs up your entire phone (way better than Google does actually). However, since it's a separate entity from Notes, you need to have it active before it can be used. And since it's supposed to backup everything including contacts, it needs contacts permissions. It can only see phone contacts though. If your contacts are saved to Google, it can't detect them in fact it warns you of this when you try to back up contacts, that it cannot see and backup contacts syncing from other services.
As for batch transfer, not sure if possible. It's easier to copy and paste Samsung Notes to Google Keep on a Windows PC though, since they both have Windows apps.

Fell at first hurdle. Tried to get Samsung app on Windows 10 (17134.472 version) pc. Message "This app is not compatible with this device" ok so not pen or touch screen but has got mouse; so will work.

Microsoft Store Dialog does not show a download button only a redeem a code button.

Any more advice please?
