Root [ROM][Unofficial] LineageOS 14.1 (7.1.2) for Moto E4 Plus "owens"

the install went fine untill I got to where it ask to set up finger print security I hit add and the device rebooted but was able to complete the setup on the next reboot finger print added..

one thing I like to add I noticed as the earlier version as well I had a high radio usage on the battery one thing I did to fix it was disable Ant Hal Service as far as I know it is for fitness apps / heart rate ect... bluetoth and fm radio and everything else works fine my radio usage went from 60% to 4% under Gsam battery monitor

and thanks again for your hard work Bcrichster
my buddy finely went from a flip phone to smart I told him get the E4+ and he did lol even though his sister bought a moto G6 with the glass back I said its crap get the E4+

Not a problem, hope ya like my newest additions to the ROM. Merry Christmas to all !!
Up and running, everything is working. The wallpapers are a nice addition, but the MTweaker is great! Being able to configure the ROM to Conservative is a great feature! Thanks so much @bcrichster for the feature.

just a heads up I reinstalled this build again and is locking up during the set up when you reach add finger print this time it just froze and had to restart the device then I was able to complete it like before, I'm I the only one ?

Maybe you just have a corrupted DL? It happens, just compare your md5 to the one posted below the file DL in AFH

Not sure how it would have happened, but after flashing the latest December update I have lost LTE. Restoring back to previous builds or stock do not fix the issue. I have tried my SIM in another device and it works fine. Carrier is US Cellular. Any ideas?

EDIT: I restored stock USC firmware and it issue was resolved. I'll try your build again tomorrow to see if the issue is repeatable.

Do Not use the December build.. I just went round & round on it and it was an addition l made which broke it.. Seemed tied to MTweaks apk, IMO as it had some flukes when activated and upon reboot, LTE went down. FORTUNATELY tho, I also made a 12/23 build without said changes and will be certainly uploading today. I've been running it for the last 2 days without issues. Thank you for the feedback as I wasn't exactly sure and needed some confirmation. I went back to stock like 3 times just trying to narrow down the problem but pretty sure we're good on the build I'm uploading today. Thank you again.

I think the accidental flashing of 12/25 wrecked your LTE again and ya need to either fastboot total stock pkg and boot before flashing ROM or maybe can try with PC:

fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2

New build works well. No connectivity issues. Suggest removing the 12/25 build from AFH. I know I would see the newer build date in the file name and download that, especially since AFH doesn't sort them by uploaded date by default.

i saw somewhere said , with latest stock cannot flash other ROM , have this issue solved ?
i have xt1775 with latest stock 26.58-45-16(security patch Nov 1 2018), is it ok to flash 12/23build ?

Should be, yes. 12-23 works fine

Edit: I also totally removed the 12-25 version from AFH, so no worries

Thanks for solving this issue:
"Do NOT. I REPEAT, DO NOT TAKE THE 44.-12 UPDATE!! It's a lock to prevent custom ROM functionality!! It prevents TWRP from sticking and locks to modem to STOCK capability ONLY!! You will NOT gat ANY data/call/sms use from it with custom ROMs. 44-9 (June) seems be the last usable update that allows custom ROM function. Other than that.. no real changes or improvement, data works fine on STOCK ONLY."

I was a little scared before because of above warning, since I have stock 26.58-45-16(security patch Nov 1 2018) .
I will try LOS 12/23 version.

whats odd about the update when I went to full stock owens it only OTA only gave me a update to March 5 and said my phone was up to date my buddy bought the same phone unlocked carrier version from Best buy and his and i checked his and it went to Nov 1 for a update so I think when I flash full stock using the guide they must be checking something at Motorola that they stop my updates at March 5 , but any how running the LinageOS DEC 23 build and it's the best !

Correct November 1 2018, I am surprised we don't have December update.

My phone is stock firmware unlocked version, never rooted.

I use straight talk Verizon sim card.

Mfgrs are only required to update for 3 months past release, so we are lucky we got stock updates almost all year..
